Let’s say you want to buy a soundwave art piece. How would you search for it? Maybe you’d type in “soundwave art wood.” As a seller, you’d want to write your product listing as accurate and descriptive as possible. The product title is weighted heaviest, so I’d use MakerWords to find the best keyword phrases and then input them into my listing.
Here’s what I found on Makerwords:
As a seller, I’d absolutely use these keyword phrases – all of them – in my listing, in ads, in social media posts, on your website.
I like that MakerWords also shows how each phrase is trending. You can compare the search volumes against Amazon, plus filter by popularity, excluded keywords, et al.
For you non-Etsy folks, head over to your website. Log into Google analytics and look at the organic traffic and the keywords that people type in to Google search to find you. What do you find? These are similar keywords and phrases that you should be using in your website copy, blog posts, product pages, social media, email, and more. I love SEO, don’t you? It’s exciting to see how people search.
Full disclosure – MakerWords is the sister tool to MerchantWords, a client. I am not obligated to post anything about them. I just believe in this company and the work they do to help people build a better life for themselves.
